DAVIDsTEA uses Nudge Rewards to increase productivity

Nudge Rewards, a mobile-first company that helps retailers improve the performance and engagement of their frontline employees, today announced that DAVIDsTEA Inc, a specialty tea retailer, is using the Nudge Line frontline employee performance solution to help retail associates deliver a best-in-class experience while streamlining communication between headquarters and stores.

DAVIDsTEA has chosen Nudge Rewards to equip its Tea Guides (in-store tea experts who make tea fun and accessible to store visitors) with an engaging employee smartphone app that puts the best information and real-world insights at your fingertips. DAVIDsTEA’s customer base is loyal and knowledgeable, and according to the company’s consumer data, 97% cite Tea Guides as a key factor in their satisfaction. DAVIDsTEA deployed the mobile solution to 2,500 associates and store managers across 238 locations last fall.

At launch, DAVIDsTEA saw 96% adoption among store associates and a 90% approval rate in the in-app survey. The cost savings from productivity gains from Nudge-enabled staff already far outweigh the investment in the program, with each manager gaining back 1.5 hours of valuable training time per shift. Tea guides already start their workday armed with the information they need to help customers choose from more than 100 premium teas and can accompany interactions to seasonal promotions through education and tasting. Nudge provides laser-focused mobile performance training and a direct line of communication between headquarters and stores, resulting in thousands of hours saved for associates and remarkable benefits for sales.
